KUALA LUMPUR : Do you know when your pot is ready to kick-start your cooking?
Foods that are cooked in normal pan without the cooking indicator risk being undercooked, becoming soggy or pale in colour in underheated pan or overcooked where it turns charred or spoiling the coating, if pan is overheated.
Half of the culinary battle is won when you own the right cookware, said Groupe SEB Malaysia Sdn Bhd senior product manager Nikki Lua.

The company last week launched a new range of Tefal cookware available in a seven-product range with distinguish features like Thermo-Signal, Better Homogeneity, and Durable Titanium Coating, and they guarantee a superior cooking experience with better results.

Thermo-Signal – For best colour, best texture and best flavour in your food! Once the pan reaches optimal cooking temperature of 180-degree Celsius, the Thermo-Signal in every Tefal pan – now sporting an intuitive design with stronger colour contrast for quicker identification – tells you so as it turns into a solid red dot.

Better Homogeneity Base – Induction cooking pans feature optimum grids as well as high density of stainless steel for better heat distribution and a stronger, wider base for faster cooking time. The non-induction base for this new range comes with a diffusion base that is thicker for more efficient heat diffusion.

Durable Titanium Coating
1) Titanium Coating – When titanium alloyed with aluminium, it dramatically becomes stronger than many steels. This helps to increase a pan’s resistance and durability.

2) Mineralia Coating – Surface is reinforced with mineral particles to enhance coating resistance. The stone-effect products are perceived to be robust and natural, an alternative to the classic PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) coating.

Tefal’s non-stick pans are also better in heat retention, thanks to its thicker coating – giving customers cost- and energy-savings, said Lua.
"We need to evolve with the times to provide a new sense of excitement or fresh take on how we can elevate the cooking process. For example, food should not only look Insta-worthy but taste great too! Cooking is made easy for our customers without sacrificing the food’s taste or nutrition," added Lua.
Founded over six decades ago in a small Parisian suburb, innovation remained one of the core values that drove the Tefal brand to the global household name it is today, known for its innovative range of quality cookware and small appliances.

Groupe SEB Malaysia country manager Jack Wong said the company is constantly looking for ways to innovate and turn ideas into home solutions to help improve consumers' daily lives.
“Knowing the right time to start cooking is crucial in preparing the food, however it isn’t always easy to pinpoint the exact time. Here’s where Tefal pans are your best kitchen partner for all your culinary adventures! Cooking at the right time allows the food to achieve optimum flavour, texture and nutritional value," said Wong.
Wong said, each cooking pan carries Tefal’s three-pronged promise of confident cooking (100 per cent safe to use), tasty and healthy cooking, and responsible cooking.
Among its star products is the “So Chef” range that is robust and long-lasting, suitable for all hobs including induction.

Chef Sheila Rusly did a cooking demonstration using Tefal's new range of cookware to showcase the versatility of the pots and pans.

She said the Tefal pan is impressive due to its easy handling and sleek design.
  The “so-red-that-you-can’t-miss-it” Thermo-Signal is spot-on, she added.
"No more guessing game... I just wait for the pan to let me know the right time to get started and my dishes, they turn out beautifully."
Priced between RM79 and RM279, the Tefal cookware is now available at all major department stores and leading hypermarkets in Malaysia.
