Eversendai Corp Bhd has secured the DLF Downtown IT Park project in Chennai, India worth RM330 million through its subsidiary company.
It was awarded the project in Tharamani by DLF Info Park Developers (Chennai) Ltd, India’s largest real estate developer.
This brings its total contract wins to RM653 million to-date for the year 2020, increasing its order book to about RM2.2 billion.
Eversendai executive chairman and group managing director Tan Sri AK Nathan said securing this prestigious contract is a major achievement for the group and would further accelerate its growth momentum.
The DLF Downtown IT Park project consists of two towers of commercial building.
"The buildings will be constructed using composite structures in fast track mode and is expected to complete in a record time of 16 months. This will set a new benchmark in the Indian construction industry," said Nathan.
This is also the second job awarded by DLF to Eversendai. The first is to develop a 1.6 million sq ft commercial building project in Chennai which is nearing completion.
