Accor debuts MGallery in Hong Kong

Accor is pleased to announce The Silveri Hong Kong –MGallery in Hong Kong. Situated next to Novotel Citygate in Tung Chung, The Silveri Hong Kong – MGallery will be the brand’s first hotel in Hong Kong when it opens towards the end of 2019.

As the first MGallery to open in a major city within Greater China, The Silveri Hong Kong – MGallery has a unique story to tell. Its name references the silver mine resources in east Lantau, as well as the shimmer of water that surrounds the verdant island. Silver is used as a design element throughout the hotel as accents to underscore the refined luxury that the property encapsulates.

The Silveri Hong Kong – MGallery is part of Citygate’s mixed-use extension complex, and is
conveniently situated above Tung Chung MTR station. Hong Kong International Airport and AsiaWorld-Expo are a short five-minute drive away, while Central can be easily reached within 30 minutes by train. Lantau Island’s best attractions, namely The Big Buddha, Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, and Hong Kong Disneyland, are all within easy reach.

The Silveri Hong Kong – MGallery offers 206 guestrooms and suites, with interior design by Hong Kong-based Cream. A number of guestrooms and suites offer outdoor terraces and jacuzzis whilst a selection of suites are outfitted with expansive terraces and plunge pools. Large windows offer views to the green hills of Lantau, while natural materials such as hardwood floors and stone bring the
landscape indoors.

Guests enter through The Conservatory, an arrival hall with green walls, lush landscaping, and an open-air atrium. Three dining options await, all designed by Hong Kong’s LWK & Partners - who also designed the lobby. The Enclave is a modern bistro that doubles as the hotel’s all-day restaurant; The Pavilion is a sophisticated cocktail bar; and Fresh is a deli and cafĂ© with an emphasis on light bites and fresh ingredients. Travellers who need to get work done will appreciate the executive lounge on the hotel’s top floor, along with two meeting rooms. Travellers seeking wellness options can indulge with a swim in the 25 metre outdoor pool, take a stroll along the terraced grounds, practice yoga on the green lawn, or work up a sweat in the fully equipped gym. Landscaping for the
pool and lawn was designed by Hong Kong’s
Adrian L. Norman.

Gary Rosen, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, Accor Greater China, says: “We are incredibly excited to announce this innovative, stunning and ecologically friendly MGallery hotel in Greater China that carries individuality in the vibrant destination of Hong Kong. Lantau’s past and present are the ideal backdrop for travellers who are passionate about exploring original and memorable experiences with distinctive style.”
